Ecologies of Care Toolkit

This toolkit explores self-care as a collective, political and transformative practice. Developed through international workshops and collaborative research, it invites young people and youth workers to rethink care beyond individual wellness and productivity models. 

The project investigates how emotional wellbeing, interdependence, embodied awareness and community practices can become tools of resistance against burnout, social isolation and systemic oppression. Through artistic activities, reflective exercises and collective methodologies, the toolkit creates spaces for dialogue, self-expression and mutual support. 

Aims:

  • explore self-care through transfeminist and socio-ecological perspectives
  • encourage emotional literacy, self-determination and collective reflection;provide practical activities for youth workers and young people
  • develop alternative forms of learning based on care, listening and interdependence;promote sustainable and regenerative relationships with ourselves, others and the environment.

Primary target group: youngsters (between 18 and 30) stemming from very different backgrounds, from privileged and underprivileged environment, from gender minorities and of heterosexual identity.
Secondary target group: youth workers, facilitators, trainers working with the primary target group.
